While Aria deals with the perils of her impending trial, Jack is taken from the Ailian ship and transported to a marketplace near the Ailian capital of Hayikwiir. It's there that he learns that he's to be turned over to a slave dealer, to be sold to the highest bidder! Poked and prodded like common cattle, Jack is given his first taste of the horrors of the Ailian slave trade. If something isn't done to save him, Jack might find himself a servant in an Ailian home...or worse.
