coyotes in ink

Canis-ferox

I've been buying a traditional art thing here and there for a while now (last post was with the microns). This time I got some markers! 8D AAAAAA I still can't believe I did this as 100% traditional work c: Like this is what these actually look like on paper. Usually I only get something this smooth looking if it's printed digital work. I am pretty hyped about markers now.

These are two of the ink drawings from the Coyote Collage obviously, because they were what I had lying around and I really wanted to test these markers. So we have Dust again and the Bullet Farmer-inspired coyote?? No idea what to call him but that is a fun design. (Apparently the actual character's real name is Kalashnikov but I'm not sure if I want to go with that or not, not that I'm going to use him for anything but drawings anyway) He's a little off model there but mainly just because all the teeth are present and there's no hole in his ear. xD You many notice the proportions aren't as good on Dust's picture here as they were on the digitally colored one, and that is because I fixed them in that picture : D This is what they actually came out like the first time.
Their markings aren't spot on in places because it's kind of hard to approximate all the shades I needed with four markers (obviously the solution is to buy more markers (eventually) : D). I accidentally found out how to blend when going over the top coyote's face again trying to get it darker too. And once I started I had to commit to it lol. So that's why the markings there are blurry. I also found the markers bleed quite a bit on this paper, which is a thing they don't seem to do in my moleskine, so that's interesting information that affects how I can use them.

Pigma microns (0.25 and 0.20mm), Prismacolor Premier markers (20%, 40%, 60%, and 80% cool greys)

If that's what he wants, with an expression like that, I'm not going to get in his way! xD
