Canis-ferox

A model in the works of my wolf character Rook, with an anaglyph 3D version viewable with red-cyan glasses. Currently the actual modeling work is done and I'm now painting the texture but none of that is pictured here. :u

Anaglyph made using a Sculptris-generated depth map and a Photoshop distortion filter :> After doing this I think I prefer using two different images of the model at different perspectives rather than depth-mapping/distortion-filtering for making stereo images of digital sculptures, but I had to give this a try when I realized the program generated depth maps. So this is what I'm working on now. This is just a test of a head tilt (the original pose was more neutral and looking straight ahead--and the head tilt I ended up achieving on the finished one looks a little different), and no asymmetrical details have been added yet in this image--all the symmetrical work has to be done first, because once symmetry is turned off in Sculptris it can't be turned back on if you've started doing asymmetrical things. Digital sculpture just got a lot more exciting/appealing for me, but more about that soon 8)
I included the 2D because it's more accurate around the edges and much easier to look at if you don't have red/cyan glasses. xD
Title is the file name, I have no better ideas. But my file names are poetry anyway.

I remember seeing this on DA. I really liked how you sculpted the fur. Good job. :)

Thanks so much! :] I'm glad the fur works, it was getting pretty demanding on my computer the more detailed it got haha. Very excited to get it done after I do some computer maintenance stuff. Btw I was just admiring your sculpture work the other day! You might get this a lot, I don't know, but what program(s) do you use?

Ohhhh yeah this stuff gets mega demanding as you add more details. XD;; At least from what you got here, it's good enough to give the impression of detail for the body and anatomy. You can at least feel like there is fur there!

Also thank you very much! :) I'm happy you like them! I use Zbrush, 3Dsmax, and photoshop mostly for a lot of the models. Lowpoly is a different story, but for knave and other more detailed works I use those! :) And no problem, you can ask me any time!

That's good! :D I'm planning on getting it printed once it's done and the print won't be super huge anyway, so I don't know how much detail is going to show. Sounds like this will do!

You're very welcome! ^^ Thanks for the info! I'm just getting started with this stuff and I've really only used Sculptris competently (well not counting Photoshop, as it's my main art program xD). I've downloaded Blender and MeshLab and have my eye on a few other things to play with, but it's going to take some learning haha! 3D is complicated but so cool :D
