Marion - Monstrously Fashionable

MicroMei

Marion never had a sense of fashion in the Underground. As part of the Royal Guard for Home, she wore ceremonial robes and armor while within the ranks, and a more tightly-fitting, plain garb with dull, uniform hues. Pale purple, with a white undershirt and black leggings, and nothing else. Day in, day out, she’d grown up in these muted colors.

And then the barrier fell, and she took her first steps into the Overworld.

Storefronts were filled with these incredibly bright, vibrant clothes of every color under the su-THERE WAS A SUN. And it made those colors pop out even more! Bright reds! Jeans? They were so cool, and blue, and why could you buy them torn?! Whoa, those were the ‘video games’ The Royal Scientist was so into?

Within a couple hours of just wandering through the city, Marion had a brand new messenger bag practically stuffed to the brim with trinkets, casual clothes and devices of all sorts, reduced to a quarter of their scale just so she could carry -that- much more. Sure, she’d spent a good half of the gold she’d come to the surface with, but who cared? Now her hair had cool, colorful stripes in it, and now she had one of those phones with the wide screens she could totally use to find the best food in town!

…Speaking of which, there was this café nearby that had just the -best- cruellers she’d ever had in her life…maybe she could use her magic to just…enhance the size of that pastry the sliiiightest little bit…

And here’s Marion, my shameless goat-monster/Undertale-sona creation that remains severely underutilized! Drawn and designed by the incredible cutie Waffle (http://www.furaffinity.net/user/gil/) who really leaned into her whole ‘hodge-podge unfamiliar with the trends and culture beyond the underground’ angle. <3
