The first of my color environments for last fall's Environment I class on CGMW. Still in the 'only a few hours per peice' phase here. This was really enjoyable to do.
Oh god, I really want to paint softly like this but I have no idea how. Every time I try I feel like I need to add hard lines but this is absolutely amazing. I would love to go there and sleep the afternoon away or read a good book. the grass looks so fluffy and soft, I want to touch it!
Oh god, I love your work.
Thank you so much! :) I'm really glad you enjoy it.
What program do you use, photoshop? If you'd like a demo for this sort of thing, let me know when you tend to be online and I'll see if I can do a stream at some point.
I use multiple programs but I draw everything in Paint Tool Sai. I've been using Sai for everything lately because it's the most comfortable to me. Photoshop has so much to it and I just got tired of it really. I don't really like how the CS5 brush window works because it makes customization really kind of annoying.
I am online sporadically, I don't have a definite schedule really.
Hmm, I've used SAI for line art but not a ton for coloring anything- I'm just so at home in Photoshop. But yeah, it has a big learning curve. I'll mess with it tonight though and see if I can't come up with some advice for reproducing some of how I work!
I'm online at regular-ish times (late afternoon to evening central time on weekdays and most of the weekends), but what I've got to work on any given evening varies! I'll just see if I can't start streaming more often in general.
My schedule is really messy. Typically I am online starting at 1:30 EST but sometimes I sleep in, other times I don't go to bed or can't fall asleep and end up awake all day which has me online for many more hours. It's just hard to give a schedule, but I am online for sure around 5:00 and most certainly at 8:00 or 9:00 PM.
I used to live in central time.
