The third in my short portrait series experiment. This one is of Altor, who belongs to Subariel.

This whole series was an attempt to give a set of QoR paints a test drive, and to see if I could get away with using all the space in these 6x9 sheets of watercolor paper (affordable 300gsm cotton paper, but kinda small) without taping it down.

Still rambling...

Anyway, this series arose from the fact that I’d been thinking about paints and buying goodies, but not painting much. It's easy to obsess over the materials and the trappings without actually doing the act. It's also so easy to hoard art supplies and want to try new ones that you don't need, which is such a joke because watercolor could easily be the slowest consumed, most frugal medium of all.

I don't have the consistency or the online persona to be one of those people who reviews art supplies online for a living, who gets Patreon money or even samples from the companies just to review supplies. It still doesn't stop me from obsessing over them, even though nobody really cares.

But maybe I'll pour some obsessing into here, just in case someone is curious...
