Since I'm so bad at inking Iv'e decided to ignore it completely and just do a series of refinement sketches.
Working on an outfit reference - this is just the body/base. Not sure how the final lines will end up looking.
I need to do some actual harcore study of feet and hands.
Thanks for the crit. I've already redrawn them to be a bit smaller and less ballooned, but I didn't adjust their height yet. Now that you've pointed that out i've checked how far mine are from my ribs and either I've drawn her ribs too far down or I need to move her breasts further down. So that's something I'll work on before posting the next version.
Faces are my strong point, because if I don't like how they look I just scrap the piece and start again. Thus, they get drawn more than anything else I do! Unfortunately, I have a lot of other weak spots I must work on very soon. Feet and hands elude me even after all this time. I've stagnated recently and I have to grow past it.
I think what happens is that because I draw from the head down with very little proportion/pose sketching ahead of time, I end up with proportions I like for the top that look squashed when the whole sketch is seen. Even so, she's based on my proportions, and I've got a very barrel-chested physique, which means everything about me looks like I'm a little squashed out of proportion. judging from where I drew the ribs they are indeed a little high up, and moving them down has made the body look more even.
