Lone Survivor by BronzeHeart92

It was dark. Really dark. How many hours have passed since I fell down that cave? I slowly stood up, trying to make sense of my surroundings. With slow, careful steps, I began exploring the area. Hearing a sound of waterfall, I came across a small lake. - Perfect fishing spot. I surmised myself. Unfortunately I didn't have a fishing rod in my backback. Thankfully I found some vines bearing fruit hanging in the ceiling. Unfortunately they were barely nutritious but should be enough for the time being.

As I continued walking forward, I began to wonder about the rest of the team. That explosion sure was devastating. The only thing I could remember was falling for a long time and hitting my head on something hard. I'm afraid that I just might be the only survivor of that disaster. I better get out of this place and back to civilization as quickly as possible. Assuming that the terrorists aren't one step ahead that is.

5 hours have passed since I woke up and I'm still unable to find the exit. Is this it then? Will this cave truly become my tomb? Can I ever see my wife and son again? Gotta think of something. Find every nook and cranny. Eat every fruit you can find, make sure there's always water in the flask. I hear noises in the distance. I just hope they aren't the terrorists looking for survivors or worse, a fearsome beast looking for it's next prey. May the God have mercy on my soul...

Life is tough. Especially should a disaster strike and you find out you're the only one who survived.
