Bright shimmering light gleamed from the shallow stone fountain nearby in the direction of the current occupant of the park bench not three feet away. The light causing the young anthropomorphic wolf to squint shifting in his seat so he was laying down lengthwise. Black fur with red streaks over the wolfs bare chest and sides gleamed with the pool of water added to his healthy coat giving him a slight glow.

Kicking back to relax the young wolf rests his head on his arm while he dangles his hind leg over the side of the bench. His white baggy rave pants just barely covering his bare stripped paws.

Suddenly a noise startles the wolf as his ears fly up towards the point of origin. For standing next to him is you, the wolf can't tell who it is from the suns glare but assumes you mean no harm but still not moving over for you to sit down. Easing back the young wolf reaches out a lazy paw in a sign of good faith.

"The names BrimStone Wolfein, but you can just call me Red."

The park begins to fade away as you take the wolfs paw only to let it slip through your fingers as it turns to smoke. Looking back up in time to see the wolfs muzzle drift away with one final smirk as the scene before you vanishes to nothing. The light coming back in your room as you stare once again at the words across a lifeless screen of someone you never knew only now longing for that chance too.
