Teaching myself watercolors by painting my favorite robot.

Next time I'm definitely not doing ink outlines.

Did you do the ink outline before or after the watercoloring? When I color stuff, even with markers, the color will dull the ink if I ink first. I usually ink first though because it defines the image, then I ink again after I color.

I inked first and then I inked the parts that got faded by the paint after I colored.

this is a pretty good goddamn start, dang. it's really vivid and those curtain folds are fab!

(watercolour painting taught me to colour traditionally without outlines, basically. though sometimes I'll go back after painting and outline/ink, usually with a quill pen like a nurd)

I've been experimenting with line-less stuff the past while. It's considerably harder since I've done cartoons with big ol' outlines all my life. But I'm learning!

      Thank you!

I've been trying to apply the bits and pieces of color theory I know to my art and I'm really glad to hear it's noticeable! :3
