I got really discouraged from working on this guy for a while. Hand-sewing takes forever. It's been impossible to find the longer amber fur that I need. The last time I had a good chunk of disposable income to spend on supplies, I ended up having to replace all four tires on my truck. I was wondering if I shouldn't just start over entirely... but I took the time to evaluate all the stuff I've done so far. Pinned everything on the face down to get a good idea of what it will really look like and convince myself that yes, it will look good; yes, it's worth finishing; yes, I can dye caramel fur if I have to*. Every fursuit goes through that blobby "oh god this doesn't look like anything" stage, right??

I did figure out handpaws, mostly! The hands are going to be mitten-style with the finger detail top-stitched, and padded. Dexterity is actually not all that bad, since the padding is all on the top and the thumb is opposable instead of 'pancake paw' style. I wanted the hands to be proportionate and similar to the feet. Still haven't decided if/how I want to attach pawpads to them.

*I really really don't want to dye caramel fur ._. If you have any shag amber fur lying around I only need about half a yard and am just about ready to sell my soul for it.
