I've seen the moth this little guy turn into lots of times, but I've never seen the caterpillar in person until this past fall. He had much more important things to do than to stop for a picture, he was really booking it!

Mhm! He was actually more of a golden yellow but the lighting made him turn out more green. Although he's a species that's safe to handle with your bare hands, I can't imagine all those bristles would feel good going down if you tried to eat him.

This look like a tuft of grass with legs o.o
And certainly did when looking just at the thumbnail ^^
Nature's good for producing some very damn tricky natural camoflages :p
