So I took most of the art I've commissioned and received (as a lot of it was gift art) and stuck it all in a book and had it printed. I made all the pages myself and I didn't do the best job but eh, totally worth the $20 I spent on it. XD
There is more art/pages in the book than what is shown here (especially in the Q section). I just got most of the full pages in here. Some of the colors are off, but that's due to my camera, not the book itself.
I realized I have very few hi res copies of a lot of my art. So I think that this book thing is something I want to do again in the future (if I ever get another good amount of it). So I'll keep in mind to request 200dpi next time for future purchases...
.. Also, this is awesome. Just FYI. If I ever lose my files for whatever reason, I still have this awesome book. So yay!
Absolutely super easy! If you have a rudimentary knowledge of Photoshop and can follow guidelines and/or templates, you're good to go. I used lulu.com and uploaded every page as a pdf I designed specifically for the book (blank templates provided through the process). But for a little extra money you can just upload straight images into an online template they have.
The trick to getting it done pretty cheaply is to just create a custom book and pick the features you need for it, then download the blank template they have. Otherwise, if you straight up choose "photo book" or whatever they have pre-defined, it will cost a lot more.
Then, when you make this book, just make it only available to you and not for sale, and don't order an ISBN.

I gotta say, this is a first for me - I've never heard of someone printing an artbook just for their own use before :0
Is it really that easy?
It's an interesting idea, although I don't really have anything suited for print myself, at the moment...
