Been thinking about my favorite rogueish disaster boy, and playing TOO MUCH Fallen London and Sunless Skies. Naturally, this leads me to the realization that the Fallen London universe is, possibly, the most ideal setting for this Hedonistic Crime Man who just wants to have a good time and live forever.

Of course, it's also perfect, bc even with a world where Eugene Riverworth can live his best life, there's also routes of Forbidden Eldritch Knowledge that will absolutely wreck it. The number 7, candles, wells, whispers, starvation pangs, secrets, betrayal, North, North, North, North...
