Latest Journal

Hello!

Well, I thought it might be a good idea to write a journal. My name is Bonbon, and welcome to my page! I currently do only traditional works because we had some computer problems, but maybe my sister will let me download GIMP on her laptop someday. There are a few digital works in my gallery, done with GIMP, but my newest works will all be traditional.

I occasionally write poems, and I've written thousands upon thousands of words in my as of yet unfinished novels, but my real passion is for drawing. I have a love for dinosaurs and dragons, and my imagination is unrivaled.

I'll tell you something: whatever it is, reading something I've written will give you a strange experience. You may be swept on a journey from a small town in America to a bustling city on a planet inhabited by hideous monsters; or perhaps it will be a short read, a morbid poem about death and defeat; and if you're lucky, you'll see a weak, hard-hearted girl be transformed into a miracle-worker, a temple to God. My art and writing are the pouring-out of the dark emotions in my heart that I don't show on the outside, the pain and the fear and the anger that we all feel, no matter how unwilling we are to admit.

I am inspired by the post-grunge voices of heavy metal bands such as RED and Project 86, as well as the harsh yet melodic beats of Skillet, Thousand Foot Krutch, and P.O.D.

An inspiring quote: "As we become purer channels for God's light, we develop an appetite for the sweetness that is possible in this world. A miracle worker is not geared toward fighting the world that is, but toward creating the world that could be." ~ Marianne Williamson

What I am listening to (or whatever's stuck in my head): Awake by Seventh Day Slumber
