...Thinking about seeing if I can commission someone to flesh her out...since I can't draw right now..
It's a cervine goddess that's loosely based on folklore that I've heard about and read about over the years and inspired a little by my little pixel icon here->https://www.weasyl.com/submission/547447/fallen-angel
She would be a cervine of some sort.
I was first thinking mule-deer or white -tail deer, but then started to lean more into a caribou...
Could be an ambiguous cervine form?
Maybe in summer she morphs into a caribou-type animal, and winter a mule deer-like being.
She has wings as well but they're more ornamental than functional.
Anyway her "shtick" is that she changes body type significantly from summer to winter.
Summer she is fat and in the winter she is emaciated.
Also in the winter, her coat is black (melanistic) where in the summer, her coat turns white.
In the summer she gorges on plants, and in the winter she eats nothing but meat.
Why the weird juxtaposition? (Because white should be winter, right?)
Well, she CAN be killed, and often is.
The odd coloration often make her a prime target for human hunters and that's actually what nature intended.
When she is killed, her soul just moves on and takes possession of another doe.
They become her, and she becomes them.
In her summer/white form she bleeds black/darkness, in her winter/black form she bleeds light/white.
She represents "cycle", change, nature.
Life and death.
Gluttony and starvation.
Light and dark.
BUT NOT necessarily "good and evil". She is not good, or evil.
She is nature, which can bring about both blessings or curses.
Such is life.
All in one being, because it is all the same, and one cannot exist without the other.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand she's in my head but I...can't....really draw right now because I'm in this terrible depressive state and its' not going away blarg! flails
Oh well...ever had this happen?
Where you have this being/creation in your head but you can't get them out?
So frustrating.
As always, thanks for listening guys!

I love this concept! Kinda leaves it open for all sorts of possibilities.
A grey 'inbetween' version in the cycle would be quite interesting as well, or maybe every time she is killed her new form becomes gradually lighter or darker depending on the time of year. Very interesting either way. Looking forward to seeing what you do with her!
