Elizabeth never went into encounters without at least some semblance of a plan in mind. Whether she was tasked with performing surgery or simply meeting up with her friends outside of work, she was one to take the weather with her everywhere she went. This time, however, she was content to simply enjoy the day as it came, given the blanketing of snow falling outside. She wasn't a person who passed up the chance to enjoy herself, and indeed, it hadn't been very long before she had bounded out of the bed and arranged her love's presents for him before he woke up himself.

They'd known each other for quite a while now, and one of the presents she'd bought for him was an engagement ring. She wondered if proposing to Peter on Christmas Day was the best idea, but it was a risk she felt willing to take. She'd gone this far - she couldn't back out of it now. Indeed, once she'd finished dividing their gifts into two piles under the fibre optic Christmas tree, she heard the floorboards creaking upstairs. He was up, and not a moment too soon. Next, she heard the toilet flush and the shower start to run, buying her a little more time. While she was waiting, she boiled two cups of sugary coffee, adorning each cup with two holly leaves each. She laid them on the table as he came into the living room, her eyes glowing as he came closer.

"Huh? You're up early, Jinxie." grinned Peter playfully. "You're normally so lazy!"

"Hey, stop!" giggled Elizabeth, opening her arms wide. "You're the one who normally sleeps in when he can, Mister Eye Doctor! Merry Christmas!"

"Well, this is already looking like a Merry Jinxmas."

"Jinxmas? Hey, I like the sound of that!"
