Gemma's life had taught her a great many things, and the world in which she lived and the life that existed within her home were two very different environments. So much went on all in the space of a single day, and it always felt like a great form of escape whenever she could spend some time at her home. The highs of life contrasted with lows, and there were some days where it was like she could always take the weather with her everywhere she went. But she also had learned many years ago that no matter where one was in life, there was always a refuge. For her, that was the bedroom she called her own fortress.

Her job was a stressful one, and sometimes had her confronting serious problems. And when she arrived home that night, she was ready to collapse. Video games were also helpful in winding down, she knew that, but nothing brought her bliss better than her favourite literature interspersed with the most beautiful of music. And as she grabbed the fantasy novel she'd been reading for the past few days, captured and captivated was she, thrown into the world within the world at that very moment, in a tale that would outlast the ideals of the passing of time. Insight would be rewarded, knowledge would be carried, and lessons would be cemented the more she immersed herself. It was a world she wanted no escape from any time soon.

Now we have the second art piece of Gemma, drawn by none other than my amazing bro ReokuKurosai. He's done some amazing work on this picture, and he's captured the moment here wonderfully. Here, I imagine her reading an alternative version of the classic novel Jonathan Livingston Seagull, a title I've always wanted to read myself. This is how I used to wind down in the evenings, and it's something I plan to start doing again. Combine it with beautiful Trance music, and you're in literary bliss. <3 Alright alright, I admit it - I love Crowded House's music, and I couldn't help referencing them in the narration above. :p
