Magic tricks were not very common even in this day and age, and while some scoffed at it, some had seen what kitsunes were capable of and wanted to get in on it themselves. Though Aristocramon was not a kitsune, he still had the ability to perform tricks, and his live performances always stunned his audiences. Never was he shy about showing off his prowess, and he prided himself on never giving repeat performances. And as he prepared himself in the dressing room just as the current comedy act was drawing to a close, there came a knocking on the door. This was most unusual, for he normally was not disturbed by anyone except his assistants, and that evening he didn't have one with him. He headed over to the door, and found one of the stage managers in the doorway.

"Aristocramon, you're on." he said. "The comedian got booed off the stage early."

"Good." replied Aristocramon. And with that, he grabbed his staff and headed onto the stage, but not before the comedian approached him just as he'd come out. It was Electra.

"What are you supposed to be?" she snorted.

"I'm a magician, my lady." said Aristocramon courteously.

"A magician, huh?" she continued. "You can't be very good if you can't even make all your tackiness disappear!" Aristocramon smirked. Rather than biting back, he had something different in mind. Something that he was sure would impress his audience even more than they had been in the previous show.

"You do realize we're on stage now, don't you?" he said.

"What?" she cried, just as the curtain raised.

"Ladies and gentlemen," called Aristocramon as the crowd cheered eagerly, "I'd like to introduce my new assistant!" Electra could do nothing more than to stay still, her smile soon fading and turning into a grimace.
