These rather flashy opportunistic, non-strict carnivores live solitary in tropical dense forests and tread silently along the forest floor where it is coolest and darkest. Their coloration does actually blend in with the brightly colored mosses blotting the lowest tree trunks and exposed root systems. Zaurith typically hides in these exposed roots and ambushes and chases down prey, but is still capable of digesting fallen fruit leftovers. The rest of their flashy body decoration is for finding other Zaurith to mate, which consists of much prancing and flashing their tails around wildly. A powerful creature, Zaurith ranges in weight of 150-200 lbs. As with all predatory carnivores, companionizing a Zaurith requires necessary caution and the younger prospect you go for, the better the results.
