Xaydos

ZAY-dose

A lithe carnivore from the Kinzarian savannah grasslands. They hunt typically in pairs of either family members or mates, combining tactic, stealth, and short bursts of speed, where one usually chases a target toward the waiting partner to split up energy usage. Xaydos are diurnal, choosing to brave the high noon's heat to exhaust prey quicker. Their large ears help radiate heat, and their crests mimic the tall grass, helping break up their form while stalking prey. Their tail fan can actually spread out and contract to help steer during sprinting. Xaydos typically weigh no more than 90 lbs and reach a shoulder height no more than 3 ft. A creature that forms a strong bond with its partner, Xaydos makes an excellent companion, assuming you only go for a juvenile else you become prey.
