ROSERIN

ross-AIR-inn

A hardy herbivore of the blustery highland plains that pocket the northern mountains, Roserin is right at home in adverse terrain. Their wooly fur is an excellent insulator, and when sheared makes nice sweaters and blankets. Take note to leave their crests be however, as these take years to develop and are grown from thick fibers that root deep in the skin. These serve three apparent functions, one to collect and trap air close to the skin as an insulator, two is to show alertness and appear larger to predators in conjunction to swishing their bright tails, and three is to focus in even the most minute of sounds when necessary. As social creatures living within groups of four to a dozen, the red on their faces can become more or less saturated to indicate strong emotions or stress, in addition to various vocal grunts and snorts. Averaging at 4-5 ft at the shoulder, Roserin make excellent companions as they have a multitude of uses, including being able to carry a good hundred pounds of whatever it is you travel with.
