These river-centered omnivores enjoy the northern temperate forests enjoy a rather peaceful lifestyle. They can stand to be around family members, but wandering strangers will receive a bit of a wary fuss. Vajehr will dine on anything it can grab a hold of, crack into, or pluck out of a shrub. The preference goes toward the aquatic life, which requires a good bit of skill and patience when they don't prefer to swim if they can help it. They do possess webbed toes and are capable swimmers, and are thus not against swimming, however. Their marbled coat, aside from varying from individual to individual, helps break up their image to the underwater inhabitants, primarily against a background of equally marbled rock that is found in great quantity in their region specifically. Only when their favorite prey is making their annual migration will Vajehr be found standing in the shallows plucking up prey as they pass by with their slip-proof needle-like teeth. Between three and four feet tall at the shoulder, Vajehr have a playful side and can be surprisingly cuddly as a companion.
