I don't know if you saw the photo I posted last week, but our cat was very sick over Christmas. With a lot of work and help from the vet, we managed to get him back on his feet.

Several years ago, Pence (who is a rowdy butthole) broke his front leg and had to have surgery. We were in and out of the vet's office for days. But the staff was very caring and patient and supportive throughout the whole process, so after all was said and done, I painted a portrait of him for them to hang in their office. Which they did! Even after they've moved to a new location, it's still in one of the exam rooms.

So, since they were so good to us while we dragged Apollo back from the edge of death, I decided to make another piece for them to put up. I sneakily left it in the exam room last Thursday, accompanied by a long note that I signed 'with hope and gratitude, Kim & Nathaniel & Apollo (and Pence too, even)'.

I got a card in the mail today from the vet's office, thanking me for the picture, and saying it was hung next his brother's portrait on the wall :3
