My cat tried to eat one once at the last place I lived, and I think it must have bitten her because she ended up with a swollen lip! Still, I think I may have preferred to the centipedes to the roaches in my current apartment.

Oh, I'd go with the roach I think - and yeah, they sting, and it's a numbing, itchy sensation apparently. Luckily I haven't experienced it firsthand. My cat got stung once but still eats them when she finds them, dunno why :P

OMG, my parents' house used to be crawling with these. My cat would eat them for me, though, which was pretty awesome of her. Fantastic job by the way.
