The Neo-Esoterica Tarot: Æon (VoidVisionVoice I)

I had spent a night of numerous numerological calculations, occult correspondences, and other thought forms and designs for the sole intention of the Tarot deck I am developing.

After a day of drifting in and out of my sleep I gained insight into a new variation or even a development, a suit not quite within the realm of the Major Arcana or Court Cards or the Minor Arcana. They are called Æons, of which there will be either four to eight of, each representing primordial dualistic forces in reality, magick, psychology, and beyond in one’s life cycle.

I had the vivid night vision of myself as a child in my small room in my small home centered in the small desolate town of my childhood. It was a town of less than three-hundred people next to a sea of death and decay littered with abandoned, ruined, desecrated buildings and other remains of the past.

A black formless phantom of my older brother was to my side seemingly inscructing me to write a story of my childhood. I opened a book but saw that he had torn out many of the pages, what was left turned and twisted and started writing itself as though possessed. It fell to the floor and started moving about with great chaos and force as though in the grips of agony or in a seizure.

The door and window of the room opposite each other opened and a slow moving, all pervasive black wind or current in a black sea held me and lifted me several feet above the floor, It gently carried me down a hallway of a swallowing darkness where one could see the faces of the tormented. A primal, animal-like sense of fear and dread coursed through my entire body as I stared into the abyss, knowing that it was staring into me and violating my soul. I was led into the living room of my small home where there was a black garden with white flowers and an overhanging chandelier. Staring into the darkness of this hideous garden, I soon became blinded by the abyss and opened one eye of my lying, physical body.

In my left eye I saw the light of life as through the sun at twilight, and in my right eye I saw the blackened garden of my early metaphysical death in life. Together I saw and felt the presence of great god bearing two-horns upon his head sitting upon a throne of white candle wax and bones.

I woke up from this vision knowing that this would be the first of the Æon cards: Birth / Death
