Traditional commission for fellow Maine neighbor aldin_busheytail combine two of his favorite things: Moxie (our state's soft-drink) and squirrels!

I was born in Maine, raised heeya and live heeya. If you want to challenge my "nativeship", I'm sure I can trace my Maine roots further back than you, unless you also have Wabanaki in your bloodline. I use to sell coffee, snacks and fuel to Tim Sample. He even autographed the jar of pickled eggs in the family store back then (mid-80's), even though he really doesn't like pickled eggs. I also know Gary Crocker, another Maine humorist. I've never heard of the term "bub" until recently and I've never heard either of them utter it. What's up with this term and why is it suddenly so prevalent? I've heard of "chummy" but not "bub". No, seriously, I want to know.
My comment wasn't meant as a challenge. I'm really confused by this term "Bub" as I haven't heard or seen it pop up until recently. I was just pointing out my roots so some wouldn't think I'm just a "clueless flatlandah". :)
It is still available, but mostly regionally--northern New England/Massachusetts, parts of upstate New York and Eastern Pennsylvania. The Moxie Company is currently based in New Hampshire and for a steep fee you can get some shipped to you. There is also a bottler in Washington State. It is also distributed in some portions of Florida due to all the yankee snowbirds.
This wacky squirrel volunteers at the Matthews Museum of Maine Heritage in Union, Maine. Union is the birthplace of Moxie's inventor. We have a whole wing in the museum dedicated to Moxie. Alas, it's only open in July & August.

There's suppose to be a way for me to request this from you to go into my "collections" folder, but dang if I can figure it out this evening.
