Dave the Were-Hyena doesn't look entirely convinced! A new character Dave and Alex didn't exactly hit it off on the right note on first meeting, "Hi, you must be Dave, right? I'm Alex, I'm an anti-werefox, I turn human three days a month"*

Poor Dave is dreadfully embarrassed by his 'condition' and doesn't appreciate Alex's sense of humour!

He has a point though, being a were-hyena isn't as fun as it sounds, he has trouble holding down a job or a relationship due to how his change works. Unlike traditional accounts were-creatures function somewhat differently in the Seventh Option universe, although he does change around the full moon his period of transformation can last for anything up to ten days to a few hours and he turns from human into effectively a normal striped-hyena with a thin veneer of human memories and personality on the top, presenting something of a danger to himself and others.

After their shaky start he and Alex become good friends, she tries to encourage him to 'embrace the furriness' and she lets him stay over when its his 'time of the month' to keep him out of trouble.

In this pic Alex has invited him to a formal event while he is in his transition phase, he's really not entirely sure about the whole idea...

*(she's a Kitsune, not a were-anything, formerly human and permenantly furry, most Kitsunes can shape-shift to some extent but she can't, not that she really minds)

An absolutely fantastic livestream piece from Defiance on FA, it was great watching this come to life and I love everything about it though particularly how she did Alex's dress!
