A what-if scenario - I have a soft spot for Saloon derived Coupés.

I made some mock-ups of what I'd personally want to see from a Kia Optima Coupé. Excuse the sloppiness of them, they were done rather quickly.

In silhouette, the car is no different from the 4-door from nose to B-pillar; same roof-line, same long bonnet. But the coupé would have more curvy, sloping roof near the back, would ride lower on larger wheels, with beefier front and rear bumpers and large side skirts. The back of the car would be nipped inwards, allowing the rear wheel arch to flair out, with a body crease flowing from the door up-and-over the arch meeting the rear light cluster. The windows would be less square with a sharply rising line. Add a little red insert, along with red breaks and voila! As well as the usual colour suspects; Black, Silver and White, there would also be a racy metallic red.

A man can dream, eh?
