Buff Crane Dad by Bellumsaur

Buff Crane Dad

Bellumsaur

Something done really quick, a red-crowned crane who is pretty muscular inspired by seeing artwork of anthro Cranes on this site. So, meet Akira Kobayashi/Kobayashi Akira, a Saurian hailing from a samurai family and born in Hyogo Prefecture. He served as an army Lieutenant during Japan's war with Russia, fighting admirably during the siege of Port Arthur; he later would see action again during the Great War. Now a Captain, he led troops during the Japanese seizure of the German-held city of Tsingtau in 1914 and then later he would participate in landings on the northwest Vancouver Peninsula in Oregon. There, he would see many a good sar under his command lost due to the scattered but tenacious defense from the locals and would have to oversee the small fishing and logging villages occupied by the Japanese troops. He would not be proud of what he saw and did in those misty conifer forests and prefers to talk more about the glories of Port Arthur and Tsingtau, where he and his sars could clearly see the enemy.

His six children would see illustrious careers, most of them in the military; Heihachiro served in the infantry, Ayako served in Field Artillery, Masami joined the Army Air Force, and Katsuro joined the armored regiments. Hideki, meanwhile, pursued a career in business while Takahiro took an indirect role by joining the feared Kempeitai military police, the latter ended up being a disappointment in Akira's eyes.
