This Time I Fight

So, on September the 14th, we had received packages containing some stuff I had ordered from Amazon and eBay (well, my dad ordered, as he kinda has control over a lot of our family's finances) which contained two games: Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge and The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning. Unfortunately, the former was scratched-up, so I couldn't play that game on our Xbox 360; the latter couldn't play on my PS3, so I had to dig out my PS2 and set that up and it worked just fine on that console. It didn't take too long before I fell head over heels in love with that game, and I beat it over four days of hour-or-two long sessions in the evenings.

I drew several fanarts of ANB (and The Eternal Night, once I started playing that), one of which poked fun at the awkward facial animations and designs in A New Beginning (especially when it comes to Spyro); but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I played Dawn of the Dragon (for a second time over a span of three months) and I had just beaten it on Saturday the 4th, helping put this trilogy into a good perspective. Like I went on a journey along with Spyro over the span of these games, and so it's weird to see it come to an end like that. Kinda like what people who followed the Legend trilogy when they first came out felt, I imagine...

Anywho, this was my depiction of the boss battle against corrupted Cynder atop her fortress tower; this was a boss that was thoroughly enjoyable, with good music and everything. I didn't get pissed off at it, like I did fighting against the Ice King and Steam earlier in the game. Not to mention, I really liked the Cree Summer version of Cynder, kinda wish she stuck around longer in these games.

Spyro and Cynder are copyright of Activision
