Celeste grew up in the country, middle of no where farm country, with rather liberal minded parents. So generally she had a difficult time being the odd one out in terms of just about everything. She channeled her anger and pain into studying other languages and falling in love with ancient cultures. However she was still influenced by her surroundings and even when she went off to college she couldn't shake the cowboy boots, denim or the fascination with plaid. The accent also remained for a while, she found it useful in attracting the attention of 'cute boys.'
