Last year, I took on a request for my Somewhere Out There series; a fanfiction (still detest that word) of Angels With Scaly Wings that's gotten quite old now. Skid liked it and wanted to repay me with something, so he drew this for me yesterday <3

I never ask for anything in return when it comes to requests. They are not commissions, they are not trades, when I take them (as rare as it is) I expect nothing in return. However... It is nice to get something back :3 Never a Need, but appreciated~

    Funny enough, this month is my three year anniversary of when I watched Angels with Scaly Wings. In fact, I was watching it while on a trip to the Carolinas to see a solar eclipse. And I ended up downloading and watching videos on my computer that were from that game. It wasn't even a long time ago, but that game I would say is probably the game that made me emotional. Last time I ever felt emotion was 2014, and before that nearly 8 years ago from a DA story back in 2012.

      I hear you. I still say playing the game is a better experience, but I actually have some issues with Pacing (as in: I'm a bit slow and detest being rushed). Regardless, it was well written and well done for how simple it looked.

      I ended up getting the game from a friend after my main PC got hit by a power surge and borked it. I was able to at least get it repaired after a while, but I had to downgrade for quite some time; that's where AWSW came in for me. And yeah... Quite the roller-coaster of emotions there. So much so that I didn't feel satisfied with several of the endings (Lorem's specifically), to the point where I wrote my own little one.

      I wasn't even planning to post it, but after a few days of finishing it... I went out on a limb and did so. If I got exiled to planet Mars for "not doing something that other people liked" then whatever, I was (and still am) a Nobody Writer, so I had nothing to really lose. It kinda turned out to be the opposite, and for once I got a taste of that 'popularity high'. You know: getting a comment on every piece in the series you did, favorites and suggestions for future acts. Discussions of what was going to happen in the future, just overall INTEREST in what the hell I was spending my life on at the time.

      Nothing lasts forever though, and after a good six months of constantly writing "Porn", I wanted to steer away from it. And so did everyone else. I cannot always blame people for not being attracted towards something 'Clean' (not adult content), but it's also... Disheartening that the only time you will almost ever be noticed is when you add sex or a fetish into a story. Screw compelling characters, screw the plot. The only thing that ever matters is that.

      I'm grateful for what I had from the AWSW series (Somewhere Out There), but it made me more slightly bitter about the reality in the end. I still find myself struggling to complete anything clean knowing very well that "It will never be read because there's not tits or a dick in it." But I can't just keep writing porn, let alone squeeze it into places where it doesn't belong (Crownless). It'll get to the point where it leads me to another depression. Yet, at the same time, anything I dare put some fucking effort into will just get thrown out into the void, never to be seen by a pair of eyes. It's a dumb balance, but one of the worst things I hate about the Furry Fandom: "No Adultery? No Interest." Regardless if the stories are designed not to waste people's time.

      /rant. Sorry. I just need to get that out once in a while.

        1. Yeah. So that's something I was watching on the way to the Carolinas to see the solar eclipse.
        2. I do NSFW all the time. But in 2020 I took them all down for business reasons. Now, the employees of mine can look at my favorites, and my other story on Furaffinity, but the blueberry Keldeo story is mostly clean and not so much NSFW, unless if I forgot about it or something. Anyway, I've always done blueberry inflation for 6 years now, so I'm just changing things here and there, but I still love to work on it that's for sure. I do plan to make SFW stories in the near future, but that might not be a possibility.
        3. Poor desktop, at least it still works thankfully. And yeah, I liked all the endings, but the one I really liked was the final good ending, where a mass migration occurred, and that to me I felt as if that could be a possibility in the near future, dragons coming to the human world, even though they were created sometime between 2050 and 2070, so Angels with Scaly Wings in my opinion is not far off from being real in around the 2050s or so.
        4. Yeah, I did try to read your stories, but I end up losing my place and often forget to read it. But yeah, I got myself a few followers after I posted my blueberry inflation stories. Surprisingly some of them like my Pokemon ones that I've created. So I can totally get not getting any feedback or read throughs from other people. Weasyl I consider to be a place where I can make backup copies online should anyone want it. Although I do have to convert my ODT documents to Word or PDF to make it easier to read. There was one person whom couldn't open either and I'm like "What the fuck? She must have a Mac or something??" So I ended up exporting it through textedit, even though that's not the best format to give to someone. Most people use Word, but I find myself to use LibreOfficer as I don't have to worry too much about Word constantly making Alt versions of the same document if my computer ever shuts off on me.
        5. I totally get it. Sometimes people get tired of it or not as aroused as they use to, which they want something else. I totally get that. I just write new stories based off of the same repeated thing. There's still stories I never finished that I have to re-work or re edit things that I would think makes more sense.
        6. Totally...I haven't read them, but I have favorited one that I'll look into.
        7. It's fine, people rant all the time. I just talk to myself offline to calm me down, and that usually makes me feel better. But doing it in public, I usually never do that. I usually talk to myself when no one's listening or when I speak softly to myself. But again, I still follow your work. I may not check on Weasyl too often, but I do check through my inbox and see what's new.

          2. Ahhh, yeahhh >>; If it's for work, then it's best to keep them down. I know some sites will allow you to hide Mature rated favorites, but even then... Hmm. It's up to you if you want others to know what you're interested in. I'm indifferent about local people knowing about my fetishes, but not specifically about the furry thing. I find that's a little easier to digest.

          3. Yeah, computer problems happen though. Glad I always keep one or two computers around for just such occasions. They may not be perfect, but I at least can contact my friends and play some games (though some can be very limited). I had to leave that old desktop behind due to how little use I had for it, but still have a couple of backups for now.
            As for the final ending for AWSW... It left a bad taste in my mouth, but if you enjoy it; good on you. I just needed something better.

          4. People really seem to like Pokemon >>; I haven't played the games past Gen 1, and kinda grew out of them. A few I still love (Arcanine and Ninetails... <3!) But yeah, even DA had problems with people "Fav & Running" which was a bit frustrating. Though DA was never really great for stories, even if you're posting one chapter at a time.
            Yeah, Filetypes really get me from time to time as well. People don't like to/can't open .RTF all the time, so I often end up making the .TXT versions (which seems to remove all formatting, cue more frustration) with a link between the two.

          5. Yeah... I think I just need to learn to just be happy with what I have/do. Stop expecting the attention and just write at my own will and at my own comfortable pace. Stop trying to bend over backwards to please everybody and only write when I feel like I'm going to Enjoy doing it.

            2. Yeah, that's why I've been only posting them to my discord private server and nothing else.
            3. My old desktop was unusable for a year and a half, still functioned but never truly worked until I got a graphics card this year back in August. So I'm happy to have two computers, but one of my Ten TB hard drives doesn't work. So, it may be stuck for now until someone archives them or something.
            4. I know right. That's what I use to do is split them up into parts, eventually ending up deciding to make one an attachment. But since I have all the blueberry inflation stories archived on my computer, I have all the versions I have for the time remaining. Hell, I still have stories I haven't finished. The reason I love Pokemon is because of the creature designs, not so much the battling. I use them for my own anthro versions of them, since I can't seem to find the right anthro Pokemon for my story. But oh well, might as well leave it up to your imagination to see what mine look like.I have made one of Digimon and I do plan to do a small story on Panzar Dragon inflation story, as well as TemTem, Dinotopia, and Dragons and Dinosaurs in general. including the Spyro Series. Hell, I'm still working on that Dinosaucers story I still haven't finished yet. As for me I played up until Gen 3 of the games and that's it. After that, never touched another Pocket Monster game ever again.

            6. Yeah, I've tried reading one from a story you first posted in the past. Very interesting to say, but I lost track and got bored/moved on from it. Working on my own instead of reading someone else's.
            7. You do the same, I only do it to myself or something related to driving and such. I do talk to myself quietly and out loud by mistake, so I don't do it often near other people. But I love to talk to myself at home when I am bored behind the computer, hoping to finish one more character backstory until I have to masturbate to myself on anthro blueberry female Rayquaza once or twice. Gees, sometimes making a ton of backstories can take a while.
