The character, Iolar, is the Guardian Spirit of Birds of Prey. Here, he's keeping watch of some chicks while the mumma bird is off on a hunt. c:
I was told that while his physical form usually resembles an eagle, he never quite matches any one species, mixing elements of several different birds of prey to create a body more representative of raptors as a whole. What an amazing concept! <3
