Ohhh ohhh... This year has kicked our butts already! A roller coaster that's too rough on me! I didn't even have the strength to get ambitious with Hewlett's birthday surprise. I actually listened to him and made some simple short bread coookies. That's not very birthday like at all!

The only thing I could think to do to make it special was add cinnamon sugar to the dough. When they came out of the over, I was mortified because they started turning into evil monsters again! But then... It was perfect!

The cooookies were perfectly baked and they lined up straight and led Hewlett and I to the couch to treat us to a feast of hedgehog cinnamon coookies! They even dipped themselves in chocolate sauce for extra flavor!

My cooking always either turns burnt, bloats people into floating balls, runs away with the baking sheet, or attacks. Sure, the cookies animated, and they were pretty pushy, but we REALLY needed this victory on our birthday!
