Balina Mahigan is not a morning person. Neither are most Balinas, but none of the others have to wake up practically at dawn to be sure they're one of the first people to arrive at BTI. It is generally understood that the synthetics on campus will not operate unless the head moof is in her office and able to keep an eye on them, and there is always so much to get done in a day. Not to mention whatever nonsense she left undone the night before, and whatever nonsense is going to spring up the moment the rest of the faculty and the students start showing up. It's a busy, demanding job, but despite her grumbling, she wouldn't trade it for the world.
