Drones are what happen when someone is deemed to have failed the Korps beyond any hope of rehabilitation. A small device known as a drone plug is forcibly inserted into the back of the skull, interfacing with and overwriting large sections of the subject's brain. Within minutes, a drone is ready and willing to serve without question, and will do so for the rest of its life.

Counselor Dakós herself has a particular fondness for drones, and has requisitioned a number of them for her personal use. They are most easily recognized by their heavier-than-usual cybernetic augmentation: most bear modifications similar to her own, both for the sake of a uniform appearance, and to allow them to carry extra arms and equipment on her behalf.

Drones do not have names. They are a commodity, easily used and replaced as they wear out or suffer destruction. At most, they have serial numbers; the fact that Ms Dakós knows and prefers to use the 'real' names of the drones she commands demonstrates an uncommon amount of research regarding the origins of what would normally not merit a second thought. It is believed she does this as an intimidation tactic, though observation of her interactions when no non-drone personnel are believed to be within earshot throws this into question.
