Of course I had a crush on her. I never said anything though, and neither did she (I may seem bold in artworks, but I was always shy in person - the few girls I had very brief "relationships" with back in late high school/early college days all made the first move).

It would be many, many years down the line before we went back to talk about those days. By then she already found someone she loves very deeply, and I was courting Balaa. But we smiled, anyway, knowing that we shared many years of our youthful days together and held a secret affection for each other.

May be just knowing that is enough. :>
