Inktober 18

Friend was helping me through a super bad day and finally pried out of me what had me upset.
As a thank you/apology I drew his Panther, Sonya.

Sonya (c) her owner (not me)
My art, his character

FYI: I did try a different style on the hands and face

    What camera do you use?

I don't have a scanner or a camera so I take one using my iPhone's crappy camera.
      That bad huh?

Actually it looks pretty good when shrunk, the ragged edges of the ink get blended into a smooth line. Some phone cameras are surprisingly good, at least compared to what I've come to expect.

Ah the ragged line is killing me. I'm using a brunch pen on cheap sketch paper and I don't know how to get smooth lines. Before this I wasn't much of a traditional artist :/ I feel so out of control

Maybe you could leverage the fact that it is photogenic when scaled down. I like the effect. I don't draw though (at least not yet).
