Continuing with the character references is Dref Mc'Kyran. A commander in Kyrathane navy and first officer on the Dreaming Kyr. He is in his mid 30's and has been in the navy for fifteen years.

Personality-wise, I'm planning him as being stern and in a generally poor mood. Closed to everyone save for a-few close friends (one being Ynaa). Bane of new recruits.

Like Ynaa, Dref is Kyrathane, but unlike Ynaa he has only one tail. There will be more to come on this as I work on the comic, but the idea is that the number of tails an individual has also has some unfortunate social stigmas. There are deep rooted prejudices against those with greater numbers of tails. Prejudices that paint these people as untrustworthy and likely to bring misfortune to anyone around them. These prejudices have existed for the entirety of Kyrathane history (approximately 2,500 years) and no one knows where they came from or what could have sparked them.
