Before really getting started with this comic idea I've had rattling around in my head (based on an entertaining Stellaris game I had with a race of space-foxes), I figured I should make some references for myself of the major characters.

First up of the character references is Ynaa (need to come up with a last name). A captain in Kyrathane navy and commanding the Dreaming Kyr. She is in her late 30's and has been in the navy for seventeen years.

Personality-wise, I'm thinking something along the lines of by the books and (mostly) serious while on duty, but fairly laid back when not. Great instincts in combat, but notoriously bad business sense.

As for her appearance and that of Kyrathane in general, I decided on a fox-like appearance, though I want to try coming up with more differences that make them more unique. The biggest difference, for now, is the hard, bone or scale-like ridges on the forehead, shoulders, elbows, and knees.

While drawing this, I learned that I need to work on my backgrounds and drawing straight lines.
