Padding through the crisp winter weather, Regil looked to each house’s address curiously. Clasping his sweatered arms over a relatively modest frame, the feathered drake began to anticipate the warmth of his new apartment with increasing vigor. The biting January cold made the reptilian long for the warmer months ahead, but for now he’d content himself with the comforting confines of his new abode. Fortunately, the address he’d been allotted was the next one down, and Regil hurried to escape the winter chill by knocking frenetically on the door.

After a couple moments of waiting, the lock on the entrance finally disengaged and a tall, yellow-and-black furred anthro answered. Outfitted in a similar attire, the newcomer could be described as a drake, though the rich mane and mammalian ears hinted at other characteristics. “Afternoon,” the furred anthro said, shivering slightly from the cold, “I take it you’re my new roommate?”

Regis nodded tightly, and extended a paw. “Indeed. My name’s Regil,” he replied, offering a warm, though slightly hurried grin.

The furred anthro took notice immediately and quickly shook the feathered drake’s paw. “Zedex,” he replied, "A pleasure to meet you too.”

Two weeks after January, but I managed to finish this personal piece, as the first part of my big project for this year - featuring Zedex's wonderful dragon and mine. The short backstory for the drawing: Regil started his new semester and he looked for an apartment to live. His new rommate is Zedex.

Clearly nothing can go wrong here.
