id like to ad its funny that they were named in 1816 but they broke the norm for the whole latin / greek / srs bsns and named it what they did, usually you dont see scientists naming species like that until at least the 90s i mean yes it still has a scientific name but its based on its laymen name

Yeah these were actually named before people ever actually saw these birds in life. They have such celestial sounding names hehe.

These colors are adorable and I've seen this species a few times on tumblr and other places. It's so funny.
Would not be fun seeing him with his mane all fluffed out in the dark/at dusk. XD-
