Plushie: Charlie the Teddy Bunny by Avanii

Plushie: Charlie the Teddy Bunny

Avanii

Made in 2013.

Charlie is the first of my new line of plushies: teddy-style, made of mohair and with needle felted faces. :D I love how he came out (even though his balance when standing was a little off thanks to his fat belly, that has been fixed in the next bunnies!). This was my very first time needle-felting a face, and it was easier than I had expected (though still not easy, especially symmetry is hard to achieve). I hope my synthetic fabrics can handle needle-felting too, because if they can, it opens up a whole new world of possibilities :D turns out they can't, bummer

Charlie here is 25 cm tall when standing (ears not included). He has joints in all of his limbs and head and can all be posed as desired. Both he and his little denim vest are handmade and of my own design (my mum did help me with the vest, that was another first time for me haha). Vest is removable. His brown fur is of a limited mohair fabric and the white fur is alpaca wool. His snout and eyelids are needlefelted and his eyes are of black glass. He has embroidered toes and fingers and can stand on his own (but has limited balance, so he prefers to sit).

Charlie cost €80. He has been sold. I am open for this kind of commissions too!

There are plenty of plushies for sale in my Etsy shop! Please have a look if you're interested :D
