This is Madeleine. Madeleine is French, has a great feeling for what's right or wrong (hates injustice of any kind) but usually doesn't have the courage to speak her mind. She is easily startled and tends worry a lot: she's a pretty nervous cat. Madeleine is a young adult (around 18 or 19 if she were a human) and a stray, often wandering around houses and hoping someone would take her away from the streets and into a loving family. Needless to say, she's pretty envious of cats who do have a home and does not understand why she doesn't have a family who takes care of her and loves her. Her 'scarf' was given to her by a child. Madeleine hoped that this would mean that she'd be a part of that child's family now, but she never saw the kid again. If she were a human she'd be living somewhere between 1600 and 1900 as a kitchen servant amongst some noble family's staff. I have not completely worked this out yet, but this is the general idea (I like imagining in which time period my characters would live if they were human and what their profession would be).
