A very experimental picture, it started out as a regular cell-shaded picture but I got bored with that and tried out some different stuff. I wanted a good sense of depth and the face to draw all the attention, with the tail and hind legs in the background, so I got me some complementary colours and went wild, haha. I think I like it. :) Also, the "sand-coloured Stranger" finally has a name: Zosimos. It's a Greek name ending with -os (like I wanted!), and it means "survivor", which is great. It was also the name of a 3rd century Greek or Egyptian alchemist. Very fitting. :) So yeah, someone pissed him off, and this would be his defensive, 'back down or I'll hurt you' stance. Tail may function as a whip.
