Krepusko "Twilight", the Shadow of a Destiny. by AuraTwilight

Krepusko "Twilight", the Shadow of a Destiny.

AuraTwilight

So this is my boyfriend's first D&D character; he posted the character description on his own entry, and I'm gonna put some awesome prose shit here.

There are magics in the world that build simulacra of existing beings. Clones, sentient illusions, dopplegangers; we've all seen them. But even if their bodies, hearts, and minds are someone else's, the few thoughts and memories they forge in that time is their own, and no one else's. When these beings die, then, what happens to their fabrication of a soul?

Having no independent destiny, they have no choice but to fall into the realm of shadows, where illusions gain reality, and reality loses substance. In the Plane of Shadow, there is no light or truth. These false souls lose the dregs of what made them unique, and reincarnate into bodies made of shadowstuff and ebon sinew, becoming the Shadowspawn. Their empty minds like infants, they seek to establish their own identities, no matter how meager.

Krepusko, as he has named himself, though to strangers he uses 'Twilight', is an odd exception to his kind. He has...one memory. Just one.

The person in this memory entered a dungeon. If he were to find this dank, dangerous lair, he might find his true origin; and perhaps if the original claimant is dead, he can take that identity for himself.

Despite, or because of, these quirks, Krepusko possesses a heightened sense of empathy and loneliness, and naturally seeks companionship. He isn't Good; not yet atleast, but within him is the potential of a hero. He can change the world. He may end up being grander than the shadow he was cast from, and that should be a thing of terror and beauty.
