A happy world where they're all ostensibly normal teenagers. His incentive for doing this is to attempt to win Elis' affections under false pretenses, and make those feelings strong enough to continue existing when the illusion ends.

It's doomed to fail, of course.

The theme of the dream world, to keep the group entertained, is a Persona fanfiction adventure sort of thing. So Elis here is holding an Evoker and summoning her True Self.

So no, Elis isn't shorter or anything in this image, the camera's just panned upwards to make room for her Persona: Pandora, The Keeper of Hopes and Horrors.

Yes, that's an Evoker. No, Elis doesn't need it. But everyone else got one and she didn't want to be left out, so she just shoots it wildly into the air for pretend and then summons her Persona with a thought.
