Batman Bday Shoes :D by AshestoAshcraft

Batman Bday Shoes :D

description is very old; it's merely been preserved through the reupload from old gallery to new

So uh...Kay Kay's birthday was last month, but I gave her the shoes on her actual birthday and that's the important thing, so we're just gonna pretend I also uploaded this pic on her birthday and move right along alrighty? Alrighty.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAY KAY :D :D :D I made you batman shoes~ I hope you like them and if you don't then I'll sell these on etsy then work together with you to make you some newer better ones some time c:

These shoes took forever and a day (translation: about 5-6 hours total to make not including the time finding pictures printing and cutting out, etc.), but lemme tell you this was one helluva fun project :D I'd loooove to make another pair sometime to sell or as another gift or something c: I'ma start hoarding shoes from the thrift store now huh? XD

I made them using a pair of shoes Kay Kay picked out one day when we went to the thrift store. Then I used modge poge to glue all the pictures in place. I painted the edges of the openings for your feet and toes, the heel itself, and the belt black, then I sprayed the whole thing down with sealant and let it dry over night. Idk how durable they are, but at worst they should be durable enough to withstand a solid while of only wearing during formal events (parties etc.) and as long as the sealant bottle didn't lie when it said it makes things water proof, they should even last a quick run to the car in the rain and what not c:

My feet aren't small enough to fit in the shoes and test them out (that woulda been hilarious for my family to see XD "Cartel why are you waltzing around in heels?") so idk how comfortable they are but I didn't touch the inside of the shoes beyond the paint around the edges and sealant on that paint, so I would wager they about as comfortable as the heels were to begin with lolz (however comfortable/uncomfortable that was). I'ma have to make myself a pair of skater shoes or something like this to test the durability of this method and just how much wear-and-tear it can handle and get back to ya'll, but eventually I'd like to open up some commissions for stuff like this~

I'll upload some more pictures with several angles of the shoes so you can get a better look too btw c: Just gimme some time!
