You asked for a critique! Well, I'm not an artist, but I'm a writer. So it'll have to do.
I really like the painterly appearance of the image. I feel like more could be done with the dress's details, to make it pop more. Such as having a design or faint pattern over the fabric. Any sort of decoration, really. The male character looks very fine in terms of detail. In the background, perhaps a ship could be in the distance? Up to you. Just seems a little empty.
Outside of that, the image is really stunning. I like how much detail was put into the shading and clothing, I like the foliage and the pathway, I like the shadows! It all seems really fitting and really neat.
